Celebrating World Refrigeration Day

At Project Start, we are celebrating World Refrigeration Day a day earlier than expected! World Refrigeration Day is an international awareness campaign centred around June 26th to raise the profile of the refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat-pump sector and focuses attention on the significant role that the industry and its technology play in modern life and society.

The World Refrigeration Day 2021 campaign will focus on careers in the refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pumps industry and is titled ‘Cooling Champions: Cool Careers for a Better World.’ The goal of this campaign is to inspire students and young professionals, for both men and women in all countries, encouraging them to meet challenges faced within their communities.

World Refrigeration Day

Did you know more than 15 million people are employed worldwide in the refrigeration sector, at Project Start our trainee recruitment consultant Lauren Manning works closely with clients and candidates in this busy industry, she has a few words to say about the refrigeration industry and World Refrigeration Day…

Over the past few months, I have been busy in the world of Refrigeration, from PPM Engineer’s to Business Development Managers, here at Project Start we have had a real influx of new opportunities within the industry. As we begin to return to normality, there has never been a better time to take on a new career, especially within this super busy sector. As a result of COVID-19, I have found Engineers are struggling to find their next career move, sadly lots of companies lost contracts or saw a large downturn in work volume, which resulted in hundreds of engineers throughout the UK facing redundancy.

At Project Start, we have a very large client base of well-established companies who offer great packages and lots of career progression. Whilst we are in the peak of summer, the industry has never been busier, it has never been a better time to start a #coolcareer!
