Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst

My client requires an Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to work within the commercial and industrial sector, based in the Midlands region. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to further progress their career and developing the Midlands Region.

The successful candidate must hold P402, P403 and P404 (or equivalent) and have extensive experience of commercial and Industrial properties. The role is required to carry out large complex industrial surveys and 4 stage clearance works.


  • Conduct Four Stage Clearance, Air Monitoring / Fibre Counting
  • Carry out asbestos surveys (Demolition, Refurbishment and Management)
  • Work on a large asbestos removals project – reporting progress back to the Site manager on a daily basis
  • Carry out re-inspections and ensuring the clients asbestos register is kept up to date and compliant.
  • Responsible for client interaction/meetings
  • Attend regular departmental meetings and toolbox talks
  • Assist the Site Manager in their duties when required
  • Represent Element in a professional manner at all times
  • Collate and produce sampling information, reports, site plans and any other documentation relevant to activities undertaken
  • Ensure quality control policies and procedures are adhered to as part of maintenance of authorisation status and UKAS accreditation
  • Participate in quality assurance audit programme
  • Remain up to date with asbestos legislation and industry best practice


  • BOHS P402, P403 & P404 or equivalent (BOHS P401, P405, W504, or CCP Asbestos an advantage)
  • Proven experience working on large, complex industrial surveys
  • Proven experience working on large complex asbestos enclosures (both air monitoring support and 4SC works)
  • Proven experience of technical review of asbestos reports and air monitoring documentation
  • Significant experience within a UKAS accredited company in Four Stage Clearances and Air Monitoring in a variety of property types
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures and legislative guidance in relation to asbestos
  • Knowledge of UKAS practices and procedures
  • Knowledge and awareness of current trends and developments in the asbestos industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Logical and structured approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident approach with good interpersonal skills
  • Flexible attitude with a willingness to travel and stay away from home in remote locations as required
