Our client is a global facilities management and building services organisation. Due to continued success within a blue-chip contract, they now have the need for an experienced and qualified Category Manager to join the company and cover a prestigious, well known major UK retail contract.
This role will see the successful candidate responsible for the execution of the tender plan including savings and rebates targets. This is a commercially focused role where the individual will be expected to meet the tendering plans and spend & savings budgets whilst also providing a subcontractor/supplier advisory service that benefits the customer’s organisation and meets the business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
You will need experience and a proven track record in delivering complex category management projects preferably within a FM environment (spend >£40m) as well as commercially astute with outstanding negotiation skills and a focus on best overall value and total cost management.
The successful candidate must also have extensive experience at negotiating legal terms with subcontractors/suppliers and drafting contracts.
You will need to be comfortable using procurement tools such as Contract Management System, PreQualification Questionnaires and e-Sourcing platforms.

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of £55K per annum + great company benefits including 33 days annual leave (including 8 Bank Holidays) + private pension and healthcare!
This role will be based at the Glasgow office however some travel to other City locations across UK and suppliers will be required and may require the occasional overnight stay.
