Fabricator

Our long-standing manufacturing client in Bolton are looking for an experienced and capable Fabricator to join their ever-growing team.

They cover manufacturing projects for the nuclear, oil and gas, defence, marine, industrial, pharmaceutical, architectural and water industries and so the work is varied and complex at times.

Overview:

Fabrication of specialised/engineered doors and related products to Company Standards.

Minimisation of quality defects

Minimisation of H&S incidents/accidents

Continuous development of skills and experience

Achievement of time, quality and delivery targets

Responsibilities:

Fabrication/assembly of doors and related parts/assemblies in Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel, and

other materials as required.

Working to strict Inspection and Test Plans, under close supervision, when required.

Achieve coded welding status as required.

Using overhead crane

All work produced is to be capable of passing UT, MPI, other NDT and visual inspection

Grinding, Welding, Polishing, Drilling, hardware assembly and fitting

Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret welding requirements.

May be required to undertake and pass a security background check.

Assembly of door hardware and door installation.

Any other ad hoc duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the grade of the post.

Ability to work to safe standard, and compliance with Company Health and Safety requirements

Requirements:

The successful candidate will demonstrate a formal level of training

Knowledge of mechanised welding processes (desirable)

Current certification for overhead crane use

Current FLT certification (desirable)

Own transport required

Ability to work to tight tolerances

Effective communication skills and the ability to absorb large quantities of information

On offer:

£16.08ph raising to £16.58ph after probation

37 hour week
