PURPOSE OF A FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
Join a leading team as a Field Service Engineer with the UK's exclusive distributor for lorry cranes, Epsilon construction, recycling, and forestry cranes, along with branded ancillary equipment. Our client is the nation's largest provider of lorry cranes, offering in-house assembly, custom body-building, and lifelong maintenance for their entire equipment portfolio.
They are currently seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer based in North West London. Reporting to the Regional Team Leader, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing lorry loaders and ancillary equipment to ensure seamless operation. You will primarily serve customers within the London (M25) area, with occasional travel to support colleagues and customers in other locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES OF A FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER:
- Conduct annual LOLER inspections, servicing, and repairs to ALLMI standards and within the construction industry-prescribed timelines.
- Provide emergency call-out cover and attend to breakdowns.
- Maintain an online work diary, liaising with Service Control and customers to manage any changes efficiently.
- Follow and promote best practices, working to 'Right-first-time' standards.
- Support Service Admin with timely submissions of repair estimates.
- Apply excellent customer care skills, ensuring customer expectations are met and they are regularly informed of job progress.
- Manage the company van, including daily safety checks, servicing, maintaining stock levels, and notifying Service Control of any driving license endorsements, parking, or speeding fines.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Technical experience in LOLER or hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently, using sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills, both over the phone and face-to-face.
- Competent in using a computer.
- Arc/MIG welding skills (advantageous).
- A clean UK driving license is essential due to the nature of the role.
SALARY/BENEFITS:
- Salary £38,000-£40,000 ( dependent on experience)
