About Us: Our client has been providing building support services for over 40 years, serving local authorities, social landlords, NHS trusts, and private sector clients. Job Summary: They are seeking an Installation Surveyor responsible for accurately surveying properties, capturing essential data electronically to inform repair and maintenance decisions. The role actively contributes to enhancing customer service for tenants and ensures compliance with health and safety standards.

Working Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed surveys of properties for new or replacement boiler installations and heating systems.
  • Perform pre-inspection surveys for gas services and prepare reports and costings.
  • Advise on material and resource requirements for installations.
  • Coordinate access arrangements in collaboration with the admin team.
  • Manage phased delivery of materials to align with installation schedules.
  • Organise scaffolding requirements by liaising with contractors.
  • Assist installation operatives and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor engineers' performance and maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure proper disposal of redundant materials and issue daily progress reports.
  • Conduct post-installation inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in heating and installation, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and industry standards.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work within a technical team.
  • Understanding of legionella reporting and heat loss calculations.
  • Familiarity with social housing sector operations and value for money principles.
  • Knowledge of renewable technologies such as Air Source Heat Pumps.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

  • Current/Valid Domestic Gas Qualifications – CCN1 CENWAT CPA1 CKR1 HTR1
  • Relevant City and Guilds Level 3 Qualification
  • Full UK Driving Licence
