Office Manager Plymouth ~ Immediate Start

We are working with a client in Plymouth who are seeking a dynamic and experienced Office Manager to join their management team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the business, leading the administration department, and supporting the delivery of mechanical and electrical services installations to commercial and industrial clients across the South West region.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain company workflow and job costing records, preparing financial data for work in progress reports.

  • Support onsite teams in project administration, ensuring compliance with company procedures.

  • Administer HR records, including reporting, with knowledge of HR software considered advantageous.

  • Manage all aspects of staff recruitment, training facilitation, and implement company policies.

  • Regularly update staff handbooks with relevant legislative information.

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, providing administrative support for payroll.

  • Implement and maintain efficient administrative systems, ensuring they are current.

  • Supervise and enable the administration team's work.

  • Handle external queries and complaints, ensuring excellent customer service.

  • Maintain a high standard of respect for clients, staff, and suppliers, exercising duty of care.

Requirements:

  • Proven office management experience, preferably in construction, with HR experience.

  • Strong multi tasking and prioritisation skills.

  • Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Independent worker with a positive, flexible, and proactive attitude.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and some Sage knowledge (advantageous).

  • Essential NVQ Level 4 or equivalent HNC qualification.
