Our long-standing manufacturing client in North Bristol are looking for an experienced and capable Pipefitter.
They cover manufacturing projects for the nuclear, oil and gas, defence, marine, industrial, pharmaceutical, architectural and water industries and so the work is varied and complex at times.
To fulfil this role, and to fall in with company standards, you will be highlighting manufacturing problem areas and liaising with supervision and engineering regarding any technical issues.
Working as part of a multi-skilled team to turn around items in an agreed timescale and be capable of working in structural grades of materials for process applications, achieving high degree of accuracy in pipefitting.
You will need to have experience of working with lighter grades of materials for architectural applications also achieving high degree of accuracy but also critical aesthetic finishes and you will be highly competent in interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications and able to support others with less experience / competency.
You will also be able to set out complex details including sheet metal and pipe developments.
You will possess a good work ethic / work rate with reliable and consistent results and have a good and proactive approach to problem solving.
Ideally our client is looking for a time served Apprentice in Pipefitting with at least 5 years post basic training experience working with stainless steel and other exotic alloys in a quality assurance environment often to demanding specifications under client supervision, but a minimum or 2 years’ experience in a similar industry will be considered.
