Engineer – Plastic Injection Moulding Simulations
Our client are a technical engineering consultancy and software implementation company. They specialise in engineering simulation, technical safety and reliability engineering. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a talented Plastic Injection Moulding Engineer to join their Simulation Business Unit in the Cheshire area.
Working within a multi-disciplined technical and commercial team, you will focus on helping clients to apply market leading software to the simulation of manufacturing processes. This will involve, but will not be limited to, injection moulding simulation, primarily using Moldex3D or another alternative simulation package.
Your main responsibilities will be to undertake consulting, training and technical support. You will also assist software sales and marketing as required with technical expertise, demonstrations and presentation material.
Depending on work load, you may also have opportunities to be involved in our other business areas including engineering simulation, technical safety and reliability engineering, expanding your knowledge and experience further.
The role will involve:
Delivering consulting projects. Your input will help guide the development of new products and processes. You will also have opportunities to come up with innovative solutions to manufacturing problems.
Providing technical support to our software customers and prospects.
Delivering technical training courses.
Providing technical expertise, demonstrations and presentation material to prospects and customers.
With a hugely varied client base you will gain exposure to virtually every engineering industry. You will receive formal and on-the-job training from their experienced team of engineers. The ideal candidate will be keen to apply their problem-solving skills to a wide range of projects and challenges.
Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Polymer Science or a related subject. (Alternative technical qualifications coupled with specifically relevant industrial experience will also be considered).

Desirable Skills / Experience
Familiarity with engineering simulation software, particularly for the simulation of plastic injection moulding.
Practical experience of manufacturing processes.
Experience of polymer processing and/or tooling design.

Located in their headquarters in Stockport or working from home throughout COVID-19, they are offer a 37-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 25 days, plus 8 statutory, paid holidays per year, pension scheme and flexi-time working.
Our client is offering a salary between £25k – £35k and excellent benefits.
