Location: London & Home Counties (Hybrid)

With over 40 years of experience, my client is a leading provider of building support services, delivering successful mechanical, electrical, and security solutions to a diverse client base across greater London & Home Counties, including local authorities, social landlords, NHS trusts, and private sector clients.

Position Overview: As the Projects Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Projects department, ensuring the successful, timely, and cost-effective completion of all projects. You will lead a team of supervisors, site foremen, operatives, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead project pre-start meetings for mobilisation

Develop and issue site-specific health and safety documentation, works programs, and logistic plans.

Attend and contribute to client and consultant meetings, ensuring timely reporting and delegation of action points.

Coordinate with Building Control when necessary and provide technical support to operatives and customers.

Manage and provide guidance to supervisors, engineers, and support staff.

Generate detailed reports for clients, conduct weekly site progress and health & safety checks.

Allocate specialist subcontractors, conduct checks, and ensure compliance with client requirements.

Chair internal bi-weekly review meetings, record minutes, and report back to Senior Management.

Coordinate delivery of plant and materials, ensuring quality, value for money, and timely deliveries.

Oversee the application and invoicing process, ensuring accurate recording and billing of variations.

Monitor work in progress for invoicing, preventing delays in payments from clients.

Prepare and submit quotations to clients.

Ensure all works comply with relevant health and safety regulations.

Collaborate with 3rd party contractors to produce O&M files and as-installed drawing markups.

Initiate and collate project case studies.

Monitor job execution for correctness, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to client specifications and quality standards.

Record and review lessons learned from project delivery.

Plan, schedule, and review workload to achieve labor output and on-time delivery targets cost-effectively.

Ensure the department has the necessary resources for service delivery.

Monitor staff performance, attendance, annual leave, and conduct appraisals and end-of-year performance reviews.

Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
